What kind of internships can I find through Catapult?

We help students with securing both term-time and summer internships.

 

Why should I do a term-time internship?

For as much time commitment as a student society, a term-time internship is a great way to explore possible career paths in a real, hands-on way.  For a student that already knows what they want to do, a term-time internship is a great way to pick up more experience, while being an interesting talking point at future interviews.

 

What kind of companies will I potentially be connected with?
Our companies are cutting-edge startups and SMEs at the forefront of their industries.  Our database is global -  in London, around the UK, Asia, Europe, and the US.  Our goal is to create internships in any field you want to try - from private equity to seaweed farming.  This is why it's important to let us know what your interests are!


Are the internships remote or in-person?
The companies in our network offer both remote and in-person term-time internship opportunities. 


What is expected commitment?

We typically ask for a commitment of 30 hours over a month.

How does Catapult keep the lights on?
Catapult is free for students to join and there are no costs to finding an internship.  If Catapult helps you land an internship, we ask for a small contribution of 20% of the earnings to help other students find internships too.

How much will I earn during the internship?
Compensation varies depending on the opportunity. Some internships are on a work experience basis.  Other internships can pay up to £18 per hour, depending on the company and role.
